PURPOSE:To efficiently decompose malignant gas and to prolong the life of the malignant gas decomposition device by providing at least 2 electrode plates mutually set with a space and supporting fine metallic particles as decomposing catalyst of malignant gas in inside of an insulating vessel. CONSTITUTION:At least two activated carbon electrode plates 1-4 supporting metallic fine particles of gas decomposition catalyst, such as Pd, are disposed with a clearance between in the insulating vessel 5, and positive and negative voltages are alternatively impressed to the electrode plates. As a result, malignant gas is efficiently decomposed, and the life of the malignant gas decomposition device is elongated. |
