The two strips are made of a fibre-reinforcing epoxy or polyester composite material and are disposed longitudinally one on top of the other. The front ends of the strips are interconnected by a cross-member which defines the spacing between the wheels, the cross-member itself being secured to the vehicle chassis in front of the wheel-arch. The rear ends of the strips are attached to a common member about axes which are insulated by e.g. rubber bushes. One of the axes pref. extends into a stub-axle for the wheel.
