Known carbamate insecticides are comminuted to <5μ particle size and mixed with a surfactant of hydrophilic-lipophilic particle <= 5, as well as with PVA, polyethylene glycol and liquid paraffin to give a stable supspension. Thus, a suspension of 3-methylphenyl-N- methylcarbamate was at least as active against Nephotettix cincticeps on rice as was a compound formulation of the insecticide.
