In the ignition coil for an internal combustion engine in which the electric signal for the rotation number of the enine is input to the first coil and the second coil is connected to the ignition coil through a high-voltage diode, the case is made partly by insulating materials, the high-voltage terminal and high-voltage diode are formed insulatedly, the first and second coils are covered by a synthetic resin, and the first (12,13) and second coil (16) and case (28) are united in a body.
