摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To effect reliable gear shifts by engaging a main part at the time when input shaft speed is slightly lower than input shaft synchronous speed in the case of a single upshift, and at the time when the input shaft speed is slightly higher than the input shaft synchronous speed in the case of compound upshifts. CONSTITUTION: To upshift a transmission system 10, a control device 38 first switches the main part of a transmission 12 to a neutral position and then the transmission ratio of an auxiliary part with which a blocked splitter type auxiliary part should be engaged is switched to a preselected position. If the upshift is a single upshift, the main part of the transmission 12 is re-engaged at the time when an input shaft speed detected by a sensor 32 is slightly lower than the synchronous speed of an input shaft. In the case of compound upshifts, the main part is engaged with a new main part transmission ratio at the time when the input shaft speed is slightly higher than the synchronous speed. Thus, the synchronism of clutch meshing can be obtained and more reliable gear shifts can be effected.</p>
