PURPOSE:To make a separate power source for each light/electrical conversion module unnecessary and to prevent a noise from being put by supplying power for the power source from a common module to each light/electrical conversion module commonly via a metallic wire for supplying the power unified with an optical fiber cable. CONSTITUTION:A data transmission line and a control signal transmission line between terminal equipments which receive the influence of the noise are constituted of optical fibers 6 and 7, then the power source for light/electrical conversion is constituted of the metallic wire 8, and those are supplied comprehensively by a light and electrical compound optical cable 3. And as an optical transmission system, a print instruction and a data signal from a personal computer 4a are converted from electrical signals to optical signals, respectively, in an optical module 2, and transmitted by the optical fiber 6 for data transmission and the optical fiber 7 for control signal transmission, and converted from the optical signals to the electrical signals by the module 2 before entering a module 1, and inputted to a printer by the module 1. The same operation is performed in another personal computer. In such a case, it is not required to provide a cable for supplying the power source separately. |
