PURPOSE:To secure matching of characteristic impedance and prevent damage to a central contact and imperfect contact thereto by holding the abutting portion of a pair of plug bodies with a slit sleeve and pushing the central contact by a compression coil spring. CONSTITUTION:When a pair of metal cylindrical housings 36 are detachably connected through an adapter 40, the external conductor 33 of a pair of plug bodies 30 is held by a slit sleeve 45 and both ends of the mutual central contact 31 abut without axial dislocation. The tip of a central contact 31 is pushed into a dielectric 32, so that the end faces of the mutual plug bodies 30 abut to each other in such a condition that the end faces of the central contact 31 and the external conductor 33 are on almost the same plane. So, it is possible to get almost the same characteristic impedance with that of the coaxial cable 1 with the result that damage to the central contact 31, etc., or imperfect connection thereof can be prevented. |
