<p>PURPOSE:To simply and rapidly execute operation by adding a record unit for recording/reproducing the control information of an electronic control unit (ECU) to a failure diagnostic device and connecting a diagnostic unit to the record unit through an on-line capable of questioningly diagnosing the record unit. CONSTITUTION:The record unit 20 for recording/reproducing the control information of the ECU 1 is added to the failure diagnostic device and the diagnostic unit 10 is connected to the unit 20 so as to questioningly diagnose the unit 20. The unit 10 executes the questioning diagnostic of the unit 20 and executes also failure diagnostic based upon the control information recorded in the unit 20. Since the control information of the ECU 1 including a sensor signal is recorded in the unit 20 simultaneously with the sensor signal and questioning diagnostic is executed by the on-line between both the units 20, 10, worker's load can be reduced, the time required for the diagnostic can be shortened and the reliability of the diagnostic can be improved.</p> |
