The design handles the problem of monitoring of the laser source with devices for measurement of the cross dimension by sweeping the laser beam by means of the flat holographic diffraction sweeper. The principle of the design lies in the fact that a mirror (11) is arranged in the place of passage of the beam (14) of the zero diffraction order when monitoring operation of the laser source (1). The mirror (11) can be arranged as a cover glass plate of the detecting element, possibly the semi-permeable detection element (13) for reception of the signal about operation of the laser source (1) can be inserted behind or in front of the mirror (11) for passage of the beam (14) of the zero diffraction order.<IMAGE>
