The invention is of the field of scale model vehicles and its subject is a wheel for such vehicles. This wheel, of the sort of that made up of a wheel rim (4) supporting a covering (6) including, at its base, a pair of annular beads (9, 11) bordering each of its edges and being secured to the wheel rim which includes two shoulders (21, 19) preventing its axial slippage, is mainly characterised in that the covering (6) is secured to the wheel rim (4) by means of at least one bead wire (20) bearing on each bead which exhibits a slit intended to house it, the wheel rim being provided, for each bead, with a groove (12, 14) which is shaped (18) so as to close the slit of the bead onto the bead wire. <IMAGE>
