PURPOSE:To prevent a personal code from leaking to an outside, and to prevent, an illegal usage or the like by enciphering a random code outputted from a card part respectively by a card part and a personal code inputting part, is an enciphering procedure prepared by using the personal code. CONSTITUTION:At the time of collating the personal code, first of all, the random code is generated from a card part 10, and inputted to a personal code inputting part 20. The personal code inputting part 20 prepares a constant enciphering procedure from the inputted personal code, and enciphers the random code. The card part 10 enciphers the random code in the same enciphering procedure with the personal code inputting part 20, by using the preliminarily stored personal code, and compares the cipher with that outputted by the personal code inputting part 20. When they are coincident with each other as the result, the processing of using the card is permitted. Thus, the personal code can not, be taken out from the card part, 10 or the personal code inputting part 20 directly to the out side, so that a security can be improved. |
