PURPOSE:To prevent a load from being destroyed by the malfunction of a microcomputer by executing the sequence control of a power unit by a controller by providing the controller between the microcomputer and the power unit. CONSTITUTION:Control signals are transmitting from a microcomputer 1 to a controller 6 so as to turn on power units 2 and 3 and a display data generator 4. First of all, the controller 6 turns the power unit 2 on and activates the logic circuit of a liquid crystal display (LCD) 5 in a sequence corresponding to the characteristic of the (LCD) 5. Next, the display data generator 4 is turned on, and the logic circuit of the LCD 5 is operated. Afterwards, the power unit 3 is turned on, bias is impressed to the liquid crystal of the LCD 5 and display is executed. Even when the microcomputer 1 malfunctions, the controller 6 does not accept it but receives only the normal control signal. Therefore, the controller 6 does not execute wrong control. Accordingly, the liquid crystal is not destroyed by the malfunction of the microcomputer 1. Further, when the controller 6 malfunctions, it is detected by an abnormality detector 7, and the controller 6 is reset. |
