Elongated ceramic bodies e.g. for coaxial resonators, of any required. geometric shape, are mfd. from unsintered part bodies (2,3) which are brought into close contact by an adhesive (10, 11) which burns out completely at sintering temp. and are sintered together to form a single body. Pressure on the assembly is produced by its own wt. ADVANTAGE - High-quality elongated bodies can be mfd.
