A one piece wheel (20) mfd. by pressing, casting or injection moulding comprises (i) inner(10) and outer(12) rings connected by a single sidewall; (ii) a hollow, axially open-sided chamber (18) facing away from the sidewall (14); (iii) lamellae (20) within the hollow chamber (18) extending from the inner (10) to outer (12) rings and connected to them. Pref. the wheel is mfd. in crosslinked, thermoplastic or vulcanisable material. Vulcanised material may consist of rubber crumb with a binder, new rubber or thermoplastic as a matrix. The lamellae may be integrally moulded to both inner(10) and outer(12) rings and the sidewall(14) and are inclined (x) at 0-30 deg, pref. 10-20 deg. to a plane passing through the wheel centre (A) and the C of G (S) of a single lamella (20). USE/ADVANTAGE - For supporting and moving objects, esp. childrens' toys, rubbish containers. Reduces rolling noise.
