PURPOSE:To improve cleanability by using special section fibers having edge parts on the surface layer, which comes into contact with disks, of a non-woven fabric in which thermocompression bonded parts and non-thermocompression bonded parts exist and the form is maintained by the thermocompression bonded parts. CONSTITUTION:The non-woven fabric in which the thermocompression bonded parts and the non-thermocompression bonded parts exist and the form is maintained by the thermocompression bonded parts is formed. Namely, the non-woven fabric consists of the contact layer 1 with the disks, an intermediate layer 2 and a contact layer 1' with jackets and is formed with recessed parts 3 compression-bonded by hot embossing. The fibers which come into contact with the dust on the disks with sufficient force are used for this contact layer 1 and are provided with the sharp edge parts in order to wipe off or scrape off the dust or magnetic powder on the disks. The fibers have a bulky state and have the increased gap parts to accommodate the removed dust with some sectional shapes and, therefore, the extremely fine fibers, such as special section fibers, consisting of split type composite fibers, as shown in Fig., are used. As a result, the cleaning characteristic is improved and the excellent result of the evaluation of error generation is obtd. |
