<p>PURPOSE:To obtain enough offset resistance for fixing and to decrease the lower limit temp. for fixing and to prevent winding of paper on a fixing roll by using a specified polyester resin as the binder resin of the toner. CONSTITUTION:Such a polyester resin is used at least for the binder resin of the toner that is prepared by effecting condensation polymn. of a compd. selected from diols expressed by formula I, bivalent or higher polyvalent carboxylic acid, its anhydride or lower alkyl ester, with an acid component containing 1-50mol% bivalent carboxylic acid expressed by formula II or its anhydride and 10-30mol% trimellitic acid or its anhydride. The obtd. polyester resin has <=5KOHmg/g acidity. The mold release agent used is preferably wax such as carnauba wax and montan wax. In formulae I and II, R<1> is an alkylene group of 2-4 carbon number, X and Y are positive integers and the average of the sum is 2-16. R<2> is a hydrocarbon group of 4-20 carbon number, and R<3> is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon group of 4-20 carbon number.</p> |
