METHOD FOR DESIGNING OCULAR LENS

PURPOSE:To provide the method for designing the ocular lens with which a desired refracting power is obtainable with high accuracy and production is facilitated. CONSTITUTION:A refracting ray 16 of a ray 14 made incident from a focus :O1 is determined at a reference point: P1 on a predetermined one lens face 12. An angle of inclination at the point: H1 on the other lens face 26 capable of making this refracting ray 16 as the ray parallel with the optical axis 10 of the lens is determined. The shape of the other lens face between the set point: G predetermined on a reference axis 10 and the point: H1 as the arc face centering at the intersected point: Q1 of the normal 22 of the tangent at the point: H1 on such lens face 26 and the reference axis 10 is determined. The shape of such other lens face is set by repeating the operations described above.
