PURPOSE:To obtain a device capable of individually editing a separated character code and a character attribute and easily editing character modification by providing a means separating the character code and the character attribute of a character in a document and a means which individually edits the separated character code and character attribute. CONSTITUTION:When a copying key is inputted from an input part 1 at the time of copying the character, a display part 4 displays a copy item selection picture. Then, 'only character modification' is selected by the selection picture, the character attribute of a copy source is read out and the limit of the copy destination is inputted from the input part 1. The read character attribute is written in the inputted copy destination. When 'only characters' is selected by the selection picture, the character attribute and the character code of the copy source are read out to clear the read character attribute. Then, the cleared character string and the read character code are written in the copy destination. When 'characters and character modification' is selected by the selection picture, the character attribute and the character code of the copy source is read out to write the read character attribute and character code in the copy destination. |
