PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of a duct or a fan, to make a device simple and inexpensive and to prevent noise from being caused by the fan by providing an electrode near an electrostatic charger and providing an ozone filter between the electrostatic charger and the electrode. CONSTITUTION:A corona wire 15 is provided at the center of the corona discharger 3 and corona discharge is generated by a high-voltage power source. Then, oxygen in air is ionized and ozone 4 is generated. When a transfer power source 21 is actuated, an electrostatic charge bias electrode 23 whose voltage is reduced based on the ratio of resistances 24 and 25 is impressed. At this time, the ozone 11 being negative ion receives Coulomb's force according to an electric field generated between a shield plate 16 and the electrode 23. Then, it is passed through the aperture 16b of the plate 16 and the ozone filter 22 and gently moved toward the electrode 23. Since the filter 22 is fitted so as to cover the aperture 16b of the plate 16, the moving ozone 4 is decomposed into oxygen or absorbed by the filter 22 by being passed through the filter 22. |
