PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device capable of more large amount of printing output by reducing the quantity of toner consumed in a nonimage region. CONSTITUTION:In this laser printer 2, a discharging lamp 28 is turned on before a photoreceptor drum 12 is rotated and a developing bias voltage is applied to a developing device 22 and erasing beam is provided from an exposing device 30 at the same time of electrifying a photoreceptor drum 12 by an electrifier 20. Moreover, when the irradiation of an image forming beam provided from the exposing device 30 is ended, the electrification of the photoreceptor drum 12 by the electrifier 22 is completed, and when the electrification is completed and the region of the photoreceptor drum 12 approaching the electrifier 20 passes the developing device 22, the application of the developing bias voltage is stopped, further, a motor is stopped based on an idle running time that the region is carried up to the vicinity of the discharge lamp 28 by the inertia of the motor, so that all image formation can be completed. |
