PURPOSE:To provide a photoreceptor driving device and its control method capable of eliminating the fluctuation in the rotational state of a photoreceptor and capable of always keeping the photoreceptor so as to be rotated at a constant speed. CONSTITUTION:The rotational state of the photoreceptor drum 4 such as a speed and an acceleration is detected by a rotation detecting means 13 provided in the photoreceptor drum 4, and information on the rotational state is send to a drive controlling means. The rotational fluctuation of the photoreceptor drum 4 is detected by the drive controlling means 14 based on the rotational information from the rotation detecting means 13, and when the fluctuation occurs, a drive correcting value for counterbalancing the fluctuation is calculated and the value is transferred to the driving devices 15 and 16 for the photoreceptor drum 4 by the means 14. Thus, even in the case the fluctuation of the rotational state of the photoreceptor drum 4 occurs due to some influence or other, the fluctuation is immediately detected by the rotation detecting means 13, and the drive correcting value for counterbalancing the fluctuation is added so as to eliminate the fluctuation, thus, the photoreceptor drum 4 is always rotated at a prescribed constant rotating speed. |
