The disclosed system for the reception or reading of digital serial information provides that the information is sampled at regular intervals under the control of a local clock. It comprises a table (EAP) containing for each pair of consecutive information sample values a measured phase value. Applications: reading of recording media such as disks or magnetic tapes.
