PURPOSE:To obtain a detergent compsn. which little irritates or damages the skin and is excellent in foaming properties and feeling in use by incorporating a specific alkyl glycoside and a specific amide-base anionic surfactant each in a specified amt. into the compsn. CONSTITUTION:The compsn. contains 1-50wt.% alkyl glycoside of the formula: R1(OR2)xGy (wherein R1 is 8-18C alkyl, alkenyl, or alkylphenyl; R2 is 2-4C alkylene; G is a residue derived from a 5-6C reducing sugar; x is 0-5; and y is 1-10) and 1-50wt.% amide-base anionic surfactant of formula I [wherein R2 is 2-4C alkylene or a group of formula II; R3 is 5-21C alkyl or alkenyl; m is 1-20; A is -(R2O)mCH2COOM, -(R2O)nCH2CH2OH, H, or 1-3C alkyl; n is 0-20; and M is II, an alkali or alkaline earth metal, ammonium, or an alkanolamine group]. |
