<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate disadvantages of a hydrodynamic converter such as poor efficiency, increased gasoline consumption, etc., by using a planetary gear type transmission in combination with a friction clutch as one start clutch in a driving device for automobiles provided with the planetary gear type transmission. SOLUTION: In the driving device for automobiles, a hydrodynamic converter acts as a start clutch for transmitting a torque of a planetary gear type transmission 1 to be automatically speed changed. A load 6 and a rotational frequency 7 of a driving machine 5 are supplied to a control apparatus 4 of electronic type transmission control equipment as an input quantity, a rotational frequency 8 of a driven shaft 9 of the planetary gear type transmission 1 is also supplied, and furthermore a gear change step 15 to which a selection lever 10 for automatic transmission is shifted is supplied. Output quantity 12 for a valve 13 of a pulse width modulation system for start clutch control is controlled in the control apparatus 4 from these input quantities to be used as the controlled variable of the automatic transmission.</p> |
