<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fuel from being faultily ignited, and provide an ignition coil capable of making an ignition plug direct connecting part small in size. SOLUTION: Each ignition coil main body 10 for voltage boosting is housed in a plug hole provided by each cylinder, and is directly connected electrically with a ignition plug. A current blocking choke coil part 20 is provided in a separate casing from that for each ignition coil main body 10, and a choke coil is housed in the inside of the casing. When current is going to flow in the primary coil side of each ignition coil main body 10 by switching action of a CDi ignitor, the change rate of current is restrained by the self inductive action of the choke coil, energizing time for current flowing in the primary coil is thereby extended, energizing time for current flowing to the primary coil side is extended. In this case, energizing time for current flowing to the secondary coil side of each ignition coil main body 10 is also extended by a relative inductive action, and the applying time of high voltage to the ignition plug is also lengthened. Therefore, since the discharge time of the ignition plug is also lengthened, fuel can be prevented from being ignited faultily.</p> |
