PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent carrier from a 1st developing means from adhering to a 2nd developing means by constituting the 1st developing means so as to be freely away from an electrophotographic photoreceptor and constituting a recovering means so as to recover the carrier on the electrophotographic photoreceptor even when the 1st developing means is away from the electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The 1st developing means 10 and the 2nd developing means are provided with a retreat means which can move in a specified direction respectively, and can be away from the photoreceptor drum 2. In such constitution, the carrier 15 flowing out from a 1st developing roller 10b is collected by a collection roller 16a rotating in an opposite direction to the rotating direction of the drum 2, and scraped from the roller 16a by a scraper 17 and recovered in a 1st developing means storing part 10a from an opening part 10e again. Since the recovering means 16 is positioned below the 1st developing means 10, the carrier 15 falling when the 1st developing means 10 is away from the drum 2 is absorbed and collected by the roller 16a. |
