A vertical flange plate (11) on the underside of the hydraulic unit (2) terminates below in a one or two part foot (12) holding the drive motor (4) enclosed in common with the unit (2) in a two part shell type housing (21). On the side opposite to the flange (11), the housing has its own one or two part foot (25), and both shells of the housing (21) are non-rotatably fixed to the unit (2) in this part of the housing (21). The flange is axi-vertical to the drive shaft (6) issuing from the unit (2), preferably moulded to this flush with the unit wall pierced by the shaft (6). The drive motor adjusts vertically axi-parallel to shaft (6) in a slot designed into the flange plate (11). The motor shaft (5) is drivably connected to the pump shaft (6) via a toothed belt or chain drive. The housing is divided vertically in the centre into its two shells, themselves holed or slotted in their pump-facing walls and/or vertically slotted to form entry or exit holes and additionally circularly holed to form outlets (28) above the pump unit (2). Preferably the two housing shells conform to the contours of the motor (4) and/or pump (2) so as to enclose these with minimum spacing.
