PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the increase of toner consumption without futilely using the touch even if the toner on the developing roller is freshened so as to prevent an abnormal image such as the occurrence of reduction in density and surface staining by preventing the occurrence of filming with the toner on a developing roller and stabilizing the static charge characteristic of the toner in a developing device using one-component toner. SOLUTION: This device is constituted by providing the developing device for developing an electrostatic latent image on a rotationally driven latent image carrier 10 with the toner supplied from a developer carrier 23. In such a case, further, a toner recycling mechanism 25 is provided to obtain the function of executing the freshening operation for removing the toner on the developer carrier 23 by moving the toner on the developer carrier 23 onto the latent image carrier 10. The freshening operation is executed, so that the toner which is removed from the latent image carrier 10 and moved thereunto is returned to the developing device. |
