PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately extract only an object by easily separating a background and the object by using illumination at the time of extracting the object from natural images. SOLUTION: An image pickup means 2 image-picks up an image when an illumination means 1 irradiates the object and the background with light and a normal image and respectively stores them in an image storage means 4. An equipment control means 3 controls the illumination means 1 and the image pickup means 2. An image synthesis means 5 obtains the difference image of the two images stored by the image storage means 4 and an object extraction means 6 extracts the area of the object from the difference image obtained in the object extraction means 5 by a threshold value processing. Simultaneously, the control method of the equipment control means 3 is changed based on the result of the threshold value processing and adjustment is performed so as to obtain the more improved image. In such a manner, by performing the threshold value processing, noise generated by image pickup conditions is not extracted and an object area under a natural background is accurately extracted. |
