摘要 The apparatus includes a pressure transducer which detects the blood pressure of a patient, thereby outputting a blood pressure signal. An A/D converter (14) outputs blood pressure samples, based on the blood pressure signal. A microprocessor processes the blood pressure samples to determine blood pressure characteristic values, based on the detected blood pressure of the patient. The microprocessor includes a respiration artifact reduction software which determines a blood pressure at a medium point of a line, connecting the blood pressure characteristic value for a current heart beat and that for a predetermined heart beat. Based on the determination of the blood pressure, the reduction software reduces respiratory artifacts in blood pressure samples. A display buffer stores the blood pressure value determined at median point of line. A display monitor displays the blood pressure characteristic values as blood pressure of the patient.
