DIGITAL SOUND SUPPLY METHOD IN FM BROADCASTING BAND, ITS RECEIVER, AND AUDIO SIGNAL BROADCASTING DEVICE

PURPOSE: To accommodate 50 channels (stations) or over within a 20MHz band of a standard FM band by digitizing sound data and sending the digitized sound signal for the FM band. CONSTITUTION: A channel 30 including sound source material 32 has digitizer 34, which converts the sound source into a digital signal. The digitized sound source is fed to an FM exciter, from which the digital sound high frequency(RF) signal is sent through a cable 14. In Figure, a channel 30 is shown, but several channels are provided usually. The digital sound signal from the sound channel enters a digital FM receiver 38 from a subscriber entrance cable 18. Thus, 50 channels (stations) or over are accommodated within a 20MHz band of a standard FM band.
