<p>A method and a device for treating manganese-containing water; the device for treating manganese-containing water by removing by crystallization a meltable manganese, comprising a fluidized-bed reaction column (1) without a support bed, an inflow port (4) for untreated water (11) containing carbonic acid ions disposed at the bottom of the reaction column and a treated water outflow port at the upper portion of the reaction column, and an alkaline agent charging port (8) for controlling the pH value of the treated water inside the fluidized bed, wherein a plurality of such fluidized-bed reaction columns (1, 1') connected in series (12) are provided, an alkaline agent charging port (8) is provided in the vicinity of an untreated water inflow port (4) at each column bottom, and each of the plurality of reaction columns preferably has pH control mechanisms (7, 9) for setting pH values at locations 8 to 10 inside the fluidized bed so that the values are gradually higher in the ascending order of the reference numerals, whereby enabling the production of manganese carbonate with the production of manganese hydroxide restricted even when a manganese concentration is high.</p> |
