PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a curable adhesive composition which exerts a high peel adhesion strength after curing, is stored at an ordinary temperature and has a high shelf stability and a curable adhesive sheet. SOLUTION: A curable adhesive composition contains an adhesive polymer, a photo-cationic polymerizable compound, a compound containing at least one phenol group and a triazine ring or imino group in the molecule and a photo- cationic polymerization initiator, wherein the adhesive polymer is mixed in a proportion of 40 to 90 pts.wt. against 100 pts.wt. the total of the adhesive polymer and the photo-cationic polymerizable compound, and the compound containing at least one phenol group and a triazine ring or imino group in the molecule and the photo-cationic polymerization initiator are mixed at proportions of 0.1 to 10 pts.wt. and 0.01 to 10 pts.wt., respectively, against 100 pts.wt. the total of the adhesive polymer and the photo-cationic polymerizable compound.
