PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent terminals formed on two light-transmissive substrates of the electrooptical device, which has the light-transmissive substrates arranged opposite each other, against galvanic corrosion and to accelerate the size reduction of the device. SOLUTION: One light-transmissive substrate 64 is provided with a connection terminal group 72 which is electrically connected to scanning line electrodes 66. The other light-transmissive substrate 50 is provided with a 1st external terminal group which is electrically connected to data line electrodes 52 and a 2nd external terminal group 62 which is electrically connected to the connection terminal group 72. The 1st and 2nd external terminal groups 62 are connected to a conductive layer 96 of an external substrate 94 through an anisotropic conductive film 83. The anisotropic conductive film 83 interposed between the connection terminal group 72 and 2nd external terminal group 62 and the anisotropic conductive film 82 interposed between the 1st and 2nd external terminal groups 62 and external substrate 94 are formed in one body.
