PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a device by which the center position of an image frame can be set without difficulty even though the edge of the image frame is unclear. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a line sensor 30 detecting the edge of the image frame of negative film 1 fed by a stepping motor 24, and the control type is set so that in the case that the line sensor 30 is unable to detect which edge it is, the position at a fixed distance from a frame center previously set at the image frame of a feeding lower position is set as the frame center of the image frame and also the driving of the stepping motor 24 is stopped when the frame center reaches the mask center of a negative mask 17.
