PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of charging a long bore with powder which can prevent the slit out of a powder and the line in charging a through hole with powder, and perform the plugging in a specified position, and besides can shorten the work execution time, too. SOLUTION: According to a method of charging a long bore with powder, an air-released balloon 11 made of rubber is inserted into a slot 10, and is let down to the specified position. Then, the rubber balloon 11 having reached the specified position is inflated with air to adhere closely to the inwall of the bore. Next, tamping material 17 is supplied to the top of the rubber balloon 11, and is hardened to plug it.
