PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass electrode small in unevenness in the thickness of a glass membrane, high in accuracy, superior in responsiveness, and superior in impact resistance to prevent breakage. SOLUTION: This glass electrode 100 has a support tube 103 with one end face sealed by a glass membrane 101 having an ion sensitivity, an internal standard solution 104 stored in the support tube 103, and a signal taking-out electrode 105 immersed in the internal standard solution 104. A porous substrate 102 supporting the glass membrane 101 and holding the internal standard solution 104 in hole parts is arranged on the rear surface of the glass membrane 101.
