摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of regeneration by means of a motor, by appropriately controlling the regeneration and drive by the motor when a vehicle is decelerated by detecting abrupt deceleration of the vehicle, based on the driven state of the vehicle, and controlling the output of the motor to a prescribed positive value upon detecting the abrupt deceleration. SOLUTION: A driving shaft 2 of an internal combustion engine 1 drives a driving wheel 6 through a transmission 4 and a clutch 5, and a motor 3 which is provided so that the motor 3 can directly drive the shaft 2 has a regenerative function which converts the kinetic energy resulting from the rotation of the shaft 2 into electric energy and outputs the electric energy. When it is detected that a brake is operated to abruptly decelerate a vehicle, the operation of the motor 3 which has a fast speed of response is first switched to assisting drive of the vehicle from regeneration, so as to prevent the occurrence of an engine stall. At the time of shifting the operation mode, the initial torque value of the motor 3 is set at the regenerative torque immediately before the switching of the operation mode plus the friction torque of the engine 1 and, thereafter, the efficiency of the regeneration is improved by controlling the torque of the motor 3 so that the motor 3 can smoothly shift to an idling state and reducing the number of revolutions of the engine 1, when the vehicle is decelerated.
