PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device for locking a cable capable of preventing an article such as a computer monitor from being stolen. SOLUTION: This theft proof cable locking device comprises a pair of locking plates 20 and 30 having one ends pivotally jointed to each other. The locking plates 20 and 30 further comprise locking parts 40 and 40 locking the locking plates 20 and 30 in closed state and preventing the locking plates 20 and 30 from opening, cable insert holes 22 and 32 opened in both plates 20 and 30 at an interval, and a cable 70 passing both locking plates 20 and 30 through two cable insert holes 22 and 32.
