摘要 |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst which inhibits the grain growth of a catalytic metal in a high temperature range and exhibits particularly high activity in a CO shift, reaction in a low temperature range in which shift from CO to H2 is advantageous in equilibrium theory. SOLUTION: The catalyst comprises a carrier containing at least one selected from rutile type titania, zirconia and ceria and a noble metal supported on the carrier. Since the carrier has high hydrophilic property and high H2O adsorbing property and the supported noble metal is liable to adsorb CO, the catalyst has enhanced activity in a CO shift reaction by the presence of large quantities of H2O and CO adsorbed on the surface. |
