PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a liquid level of an adhesive in a container under a high reliability. SOLUTION: This device comprises the container 2 for storing the adhesive 1 and a detecting means 3 for detecting the liquid level of the adhesive 1 in the container 2. The detecting means 3 comprises a float 15 floating on the adhesive 1, a body 17 to be detected, and a sensor 13 for detecting the position in the vertical direction of the body 17 to be detected, wherein the body 17 to be detected is connected to the float 15 such that it moves up and down integrally with the float 15 according to the variation of the liquid level of the adhesive 1, and is positioned always above the liquid level of the adhesive 1 regardless of the variation of the liquid level of the adhesive 1.
