PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mathematical expression input system except direct mathematical expression input, and to improve the operability of the mathematical expression input by allowing a spread sheet processor to have a function for recognizing an inputted character string, and automatically converting it into the mathematical expression. SOLUTION: A pen handler 6 is activated through an inputting means 2, and when the cell of a mathematical expression objective range is pen-dragged in a calculation table displayed on a displaying means 3, the data of the mathematical expression objective range are stored in a PENDRAG(buffer) 6a. When a certain cell of a character string to be converted into a mathematical expression is pen-upped, the character string to be converted into the mathematical expression is stored in a PENUP(buffer) 6b. A mathematical expression conversion table 7 is retrieved through a mathematical expression conversion logic 8 based on the character string of the PENUP(buffer) 6b, the mathematical expression corresponding to the character string is obtained, and the mathematical expression is stored in a mathematical expression conversion buffer(SB) 9 so that the inputted character string can be recognized and automatically converted into the corresponding mathematical expression. |
