PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep an owner of a portable terminal informed of the loss or theft of the portable terminal by sounding an alarm when the portable terminal is separated from the owner' s body. SOLUTION: The owner of a portable terminal 1 possesses a dedicated radio set 2 at the same time. Radio signals are communicated between the portable terminal 1 and the dedicated radio set 2 through a limited distance between them. When the radio signals can not be communicated between the portable terminal 1 and the dedicated radio set 2, both the portable terminal 1 and the dedicated radio set 2 sound alarms to inform that the portable terminal 1 is separated from the owner's body.
