PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device equipped with constitution by which a recording medium is prevented from being wrinkled and the life of a belt is prolonged in a heating mechanism using the belt. SOLUTION: This device for fixing an unfixed image carried on the recording medium is equipped with the belt laid round a pair of rollers, a pressure roller abutting oppositely on one roller out of a pair of rollers so as to be able to be linked therewith, and heat sources respectively incorporated in the pressure roller and a roller opposed to the pressure roller. The pressure roller and the roller opposed thereto are formed so that its shape going along in an axial direction may be hourglass shape.
