PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wobble component extraction method and a disk drive device using the method. SOLUTION: The wobble component extraction method has reflected light consisting of low-output laser light 20 for read and high-output laser light 22 for write and makes low-output laser light 20 and high-output laser light 22 of reflected light continuous in the case of the discontinuous light quantity to extract wobble components 1. In this method, one photodiode 14 which detects one end in the breadthwise direction of a wobble group 16 and the other photodiode 14 which detects the other end in the breadthwise direction of the wobble group 16 are provided, and parts the light quantity is discontinuous between one reflected light detected by one photodiode 14 and the other reflected light detected by the other photodiode 14 are corrected to extract the wobble components 1.
