PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of an electronic equipment with a display means. SOLUTION: The electronic equipment 10 is equipped with an internal display means 23, a power source control means 21 which controls the power source of the internal display means 23, a microprocessor 17 which controls the display of at lest the internal display means 23, a connector 11 for connecting an external control means 70 equipped with a display screen to the microprocessor 17, and an attachment/detachment decision means 19 which decides whether the external control means 70 is connected to the connector 11, and when the external control means 70 is connected to the connector 11, the power source control means 21 turns off the internal display means 23.
