PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable equalization of a cell gap without considering the step between a sealing part and an in-plane display part. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display panel in which a pair of panel substrates 10, 20 having transparent electrodes are contact-bonded through a peripheral seal member 23 including in-seal spacers 11, and in-plane spacers 12 are provided in the cell gap between the panel substrates, each of the in-seal spacers 11 and the in-plane spacers 12 is configured as a columnar rib spacer formed inside the one panel substrate.
