<p>A sensor (4) detects an attached trailer (5). The proximity sensors (3, 3') work in a first or second operational mode (A, B), i+n accordance with a signal (a, b) from the sensor (4). In mode A, i.e. without trailer, the proximity (D, D') of a rear obstruction (11) is measured, or they act as a parking aid. In mode B, with the trailer attached, they determine the angle (alpha ) between the longitudinal axes of vehicle and trailer, as the drawbar of the trailer approaches either sensor.</p> |
