ULTRA-WIDEBAND BALUN AND APPLICATION MODULE THEREOF

An ultra-wideband balun and an application module thereof are provided to reduce a manufacturing cost of the application module by arranging a diode and a capacitor on the same plane. An ultra-wideband balun includes a first transmission line(21), a second transmission line(22), and a ground plane(6). One end of the first transmission line is connected to a transmission line of imbalanced lines on one surface of a substrate, while the other end thereof is connected to one transmission line of balanced lines. The second transmission line is formed to be parallel to the first transmission line from one end of the imbalanced lines and connected to the other transmission line of the balanced lines. The ground plane is formed along the second transmission line from one end of the balanced lines on the other surface of the substrate and connected to a ground plane of the imbalanced lines. The second transmission line is connected to the ground plane through at least one via, which is normal to the ground plane. The width of the ground plane close to the imbalanced lines is wider than that of the ground plane close to the balanced lines.
