Process for removing ammonia, methane and gaseous sulphur compounds from liquid manure gases

A liquid manure treatment process comprises the following steps:(a) manure is degassed using air ; and (b) air enriched with manure gases is brought into contact with bacteria that have been moistened with an alkali and nutrient solution, so that the bacteria convert dissolved ammonia into nitrate, methane into carbon dioxide and volatile sulphur compounds into sulphate. The treatment plant used to carry out this process is also claimed.
